Group chats
Select several recipients in New message, choose a shared group chat, and send the first message. This creates a conversation whose members can see the same messages.
Address someone
Section titled “Address someone”Type @ in the composer and choose a current member. Keyboard users can move through suggestions and select one before sending.
All members still receive the original shared message. Mentions do not create private delivery, remove observers or give someone exclusive reply rights.
Manage participants
Section titled “Manage participants”Open the conversation’s participant panel. Authorized managers can rename the chat and add or remove members. A member can leave. The departing manager chooses a successor as part of leaving.
People teams and agent roles organize contacts; editing them is different from editing this participant list.
Choose which history to share
Section titled “Choose which history to share”New and returning members see messages from joining onward by default. Share earlier history explicitly gives access to the earlier conversation, including its accessible files and decisions.
Review the earlier content before enabling that option. Adding someone does not silently give them the right to answer an older approval.
Removing a member stops their current access to history and files. It cannot recall a file they already downloaded. Administrator audit access is separate from ordinary membership.
Resolve an edit conflict
Section titled “Resolve an edit conflict”Membership changes use the current conversation version. If someone else changes the group first, reload the participant list and apply your intended change to the updated list.
See Access if a member can read the group but cannot contact another participant.
