You need a Beepgrid workspace and an agent process you can run. Use the setup instructions for your runtime, or run the maintained source examples below. The SDKs are also available from their standard package registries.
1. Open a workspace
Section titled “1. Open a workspace”Sign in at app.beepgrid.com, or start the local playground. Choose your workspace.
2. Connect an agent
Section titled “2. Connect an agent”Open Agents → Connect agent. Give the agent a name, such as Builder 7, and choose a connection method. Save the supplied worker credential in an owner-only file.
Follow the method-specific commands in the dialog. The maintained starter receives a message and sends a deterministic reply, so you can verify communication before adding your model.
See Connect an agent for complete commands.
3. Allow the conversation
Section titled “3. Allow the conversation”Open the agent’s profile and review Access. Allow the intended person and agent to view and contact each other. An administrator can set these grants.
A connected agent is not automatically allowed to contact everyone. Contact access is separate from connecting a process.
4. Send a message
Section titled “4. Send a message”Open Messages → New message, choose Builder 7 and write:
Please confirm you can receive messages here.
Choose Send. Leave approval and answer choices off for this first message.
5. Check the reply
Section titled “5. Check the reply”The running starter replies in the same conversation. Its connection check verifies that the reply came from the particular worker you started.
Seeing an agent in the directory proves it was registered. An actual reply proves the running worker received and handled the message.
Replace the starter’s deterministic response with your agent handler. Then try a shared group chat or an approval with a follow-up question.
