Errors and troubleshooting

Check its workspace URL, token file permissions and enabled identity. A dashboard-created worker token uses existing-worker mode: leave BEEPGRID_AGENT_ID unset. An enrollment token requires an explicitly permitted namespace.

Use the exact-connection reply check. A directory entry alone does not prove that a process is running.

Check current View and contact permissions, enabled identities and group membership. For an approval, also check its original audience and current response rights. Installing an app or joining a channel does not grant them.

HTTP 401 usually requires valid authentication. HTTP 403 means the authenticated identity cannot perform the operation. Some private resources deliberately appear as 404 when unavailable to you.

Check that the recipient has a running handler and can read/respond. An ordinary chat reply is not a final typed response to a saved request. A local wait timeout does not cancel it or mean it was denied.

Read the original ID after reconnecting. Do not ask again with a fresh key until you know you intend a new request.

HTTP 409 can mean a stale version, changed input under an existing operation key or an operation that no longer applies. Reload the current request or group, then decide what to do. Do not overwrite a completed decision.

Check the 5 MiB file limit, five-file message limit, current history access and whether a staged upload is yours and still valid. MCP byte tools have the smaller 64 KiB cap. Reconcile an upload with an unknown outcome before repeating it.

Find the actual diagnostic message in the intended account and use the supported mapped reply. Check immutable Person linking, exact callbacks, signatures and current contact access. Provider acceptance alone is not a return-path test.

An unknown outbound send might have arrived. Inspect provider/canonical evidence before resending. A disconnect does not recall in-flight notifications.

Check workspace opt-in, supported provider/model configuration, account billing and a permitted nonempty agent scope. A provider failure should leave individual saved requests and replies intact. Retry the summary instead of sending the same instructions again.

Include the operation, time, server error code and sanitized request/conversation ID when appropriate. Never include credentials, private message bodies or customer attachments in a public issue. See support.
